two tines tuning

The tuning fork that we are consists of one tine of pure animal and one tine of pure spirit. The call is for both tines to vibrate fully, openly, and simultaneously. Trying to be a "respectable" animal will not and does not work. Nor does constricting one's soul for fear of full flow-through of spirit.

Animal awareness and spiritual awareness are different from shrivel-ized awareness. The first two see (and exist in) full Being. The latter, the state of ordinary consciousness, vibrates hesitantly and weakly and resides in death.

Fully animal and fully spirit simultaneously: this is the way to fly. We are embodyings of spirit. We are spirit embodying. We are these two simultaneously.

What is the sound of two tines tuning?

  2. A wild man residing in a wild world! Making no sound at all save that of the crackling of a roaring fire within... Spirit man existing in the flesh, taking in everything and nothing simultaneously. Exuding energy in it's purest form... Hmmm. Or maybe low "C"

  3. Cathy and BWNN, Great responses, but I believe the correct answer is E-major-7 slowly arpeggiated on a properly tuned 12 string guitar. (-:

Or does the audible sound disappear altogether when these two otherwise irreconcilable vibrations -- against all odds and logic -- strike a sympathetic resonance, resulting in a sound only "heard" through the heretofore dormant aspects of our own central nervous systems; the sound of the two becoming the One.

We finally recognize the arrival of the incoming message, which has been coming to us on cosmic "auto re-dial" since Day 1. The voiceless, wordless message finally seeps through the noise which usually hold our attention so firmly, and says "Welcome back, my long wandering child".

    Or else it's E-Major-7...
